You should try to create a version that has the aluminum material that you talked about. assign an mia_material_x shader. use the brushed metal preset then play around with the diffuse color setting. something that is grey. In the week 6 materials folder there are material presets. you may find an aluminum material already created. Keep it up. you can continue to append work to this posting this weekend.
