Wade Michael:Midterm

for this image i created a simple box ploy extrureded the faces and deleted them to create a structural system and before i did the EWC-array MEL script i applied a material to the poly box and then did the array MEL script and used the indirect light render setting and turned on amb. occlusion to give a nice shadow. and i also used a deflection twist 90 degrees.
this is the same project as above with out amb. occlusion

this is the same project as above but and interior shot of the materials and sun and sky amb. occlusion

in this model i created a box poly and extrueded some of the faces to give it some dimensional qualities, then i preformed a EWC_array MEL scrip and made them into a group and applied a deflection twist, and created a indirect lighting sun and sky and played with the blur and height of the horizon line
i did the same this to this image as above, the only difference is the horizon line is at the preset for the indirect sun and sky.

this is a box poly with a deflection twist, and a smooth, and a poke face done to it. then i extrueded the faces and deleted them to create a structural system, then i was playing the the add new material- maya- surface shader- color out- amb. occlusion to the surface of the object.

susan hollystian, week 4: polygonal form play

Brady Ginn: Week 4 Form Play

A Torus warped using the deformation tool, smoothed, and extruded.

Kieara Crisp: Week 4 Polygon Form Play

I wanted to practice getting interior views since that is my focus. All forms were made using the extrude tool on a sphere polygon primitive.

Xaviera C Glenn Week 4: Bridge Tool

I played with the bridge tool on a poly plane and used the extrude, poke and smooth tools for surface texture.

Yao Yu: Week 4 Form Play 2

I use quick selection give glass material and Glazed Ceramic material on the extrude surface.Play with the angle of the sun light and use ambient occlusion rendering.

I check Ambient Occlusion re-render and give a spatial view.

Mason Eisenberg: Partial Sphere Face Explosion

Week 3: Polygons Exploration Felipe Cardenas

Using a sphere I extruded some faces and create bridges with using other faces.

Kristi Buchler: Week 4 form practice

The form in the images above was created using a sphere, using the chamfer tool on some of the corners to create a pattern, and extruding twice. Then a lattice and bend were applied to shape the form. I also tried to play around a bit with reflection colors from the ground plane and ambient occlusion options.

This form was originally a cylinder, with certain rings of faces extruded. A bend deformation created the curved shape, and then some of the faces were used to create bridges as details. I was very interested in what the interior would look like with this overhead pattern and palette of materials.

Week 4: Form Play, Felipe Carenas

Using cilinder nd then extrude faces. Then I played with the extruding arrows to get different faces in different direction.

I used two different spheres. One is using scale, and chamfer/ The other one is selecting the faces and then creating a boundary and deleting the inside faces so you can see through it.

I used a sphere to create this form. I extrude faces and then played with the different values. Then I rotated some of the vertex.

Wade Michael Week 4 Poly play

this is a poly torus with divisions to create a bridge, i also manipulated the shape and details using other tools.

This is a simple poly cube with divisions to make the deformation twist more smooth, i also extured the faces to create a "structural framework" along with a smooth tool to give it a little more detailing.

in both of these examples I went into the render settings and used the indirect lighting and used the pyshical sun and sky setting to create horizon line. which looks better in my opinion than the light dome.

susan hollystian week 4: form play

Kieara Crisp: Week 4: Using The Extrude Tool (Basic)

I used the nonlinear animation tools and poked the faces before extruding. I created sets beforehand since its harder to choose selections after deforming the primitive to familiarize myself with the tool.

On this model I played around with extruding a polygon multiple times on similar faces to get use to using the tool.

Xaviera Glenn Week 4: Formplay

I used the soft select to deform a polygonal plane, used the poke face tool, smoothed it, extruded the face, added thickness then smoothed it again.
I used both the extrude tool and chamfer vertex tool on a helix.

An interior shot of a torus that chamfer and extrude tools were used on and then smoothed.
