With this modeling exercise I tried to involve many of the basic tools we learned into one massing idea. The main shapes were made with nurbs primitives cones, boxes and spheres. The base is two spheres, manipulated with cvs and hulls and then connected together with boolean union. The tunnels and notches in the main volume were created with boolean difference. With the first set of images, I played around with different applications of mia material x, while the second set explores the use of uploaded files for the dome and ground plane.
